PC has been weird

My pc has been weird since my graphics card had a new update the other day. Everytime I put a new desktop picture on the screen my pc fan kicks in as if it's using more power dunno.. . Now when I play the tv on my pc as I have a built in tv tuner the picture keeps freezing up and sticking notsure.gif . Any info on what to do would be great. Cheers 8)

Have you tried to remove all the drivers and the card from system device manager. Download the a fresh set of drivers from the graphics card man and try again.

If above fails download and install any newer drivers and software fot the tv tuner card. I had the same problem last year with a Terratec PCI Expess twin digi tv tuner card.

Mine used to hang when changing channels as all digi tuners are slow. Also hung on Vista 64 before its official release and suspect a Microsoft problem.

I don't know what kind of tv tuner I have, it just came with my Dell pc. I have just now rolled back the driver to see if that makes it all go back to normal again.

Just been on the main site for my graphics card and downloaded some version for my pc. This is what tv card I have, not sure on what it is dunno.. . My tv card is still sticking when something is on the tv :roll:

Open up the Display Adapter towards the top, see what card is in.

Looks like an update 8 days ago for the main drivers.

Will need to be more specific on the tv tuner card as a lot of the software is shite.

My tv card runs through my Windows Media Centre. I have been on the Nvidia site and I have the latest update installed. My pc has not been the same since I had the newer update, some of my stuff freezes up.
