Right this is ongoing, so it wont be finished tonight!!!!!

I bought the car in May 2005, it looked like this bar the remus 2.5" diameter exhaust system and debadged as these were the 1st things i bought/did.

With the new plate and irmscher grill a while later..

1st set of plates looked soo chav, but they stayed for a while...

I also put my alpine HU in and a 12" sub and amp..

This is basically how the car stayed until last year, when i decided i was bored with how it looked and bought the full JDL kit, blue and black leather gear and handbrake gaiters, chrome gear surround.
The kit was smoothed and blended in with the front bumper deslatted and mesh added in...

then they started filling and blending it properly...

Then it was finished ...

but you can see the colour match on the doors wasnt very good...

so it went in for a respray all over except the roof and boot.
Also had some new plates made up, which i think is better...

Then i bumped into Daz over where i was gutting a house and realised i wanted to take it further again...
So we had a mini precat meet at his mam's last august with Johnny, Vocky, Daz and me, with his mam suppling the tea and sandwiches...Vocky suppling me with a ported TB and inlet manifold, the precat was removed, and veccy c pipes and enlarged TB pipe was connected, FPR mod done and EGR blanked off.

I bought a set of genuine VXR 19" wheels with avon zz3 tyres in Jan this year..

But deffo needed lowering, so i went out and ordered eibachs 50/30 springs, whiteline adjustable RARB, and a raid front strut brace...

I put the front strut brace on but needed to modify the fuse boxes, the little one just needed the front lug cut off and moving forwards, but the big one, i needed to cut up and reweld some plastic in there to make it look neat, it does a spray to finish it off.

Daz helped me put the springs, RARB, and bolt the strut brace up on Sunday 17th Jan 08...all easy to do, and the whiteline is the best mod you can do to an astra, awesome...
While we was at it, we put in a new pollen filter, oil filter, fuel filter and changed the oil...

Since then i have put on my smoked side repeaters, cleaned it and it has dropped further as i have to trim the front archliners.

Plans for the future are, recently purchased cams to be sent off to piper, sports cat, exhaust manifold, new 2.5" downpipe, balence shafts removed and a remap, hopefully take me over the 200bhp mark, lexmaul front bumper, hyperspoon mirrors, morrettes, another remus exhaust pipe (dud) to even the back out, got new vxl badges coming :roll: .

Gotta admit i dont usually like non-OE looking cars but this one is lush! The wheels really suit especially!

fantastic mate. what paint manufacture did you use for the paint? ie product?

Vauxhall mate, the bodyshop just took the paint code in and asked for europa blue.

here's some new pics of it a bit more settled, it has settled more since the pics, you caanot your little finger in the arch now at all, i need to cut away the front archliners.
Oh and the smoked side repeaters are on...

UPDATE...
Me and daz fitted a new 2.5" downpipe and 200 cell cat. Made hell of a difference, rasps and pops all over the place now, very impressed, slowly getting there...

Also went to a RR at Interpro rolling at ....

171.5 BHP!!!!!, the guy said it was perfect and wanted to go further but my rev limiter restricts it, he reckons if i raised the limit, it would have got about 178bhp.. im happy.

Dunno, i honestly dont know, it does start getting exspensive now, and ive already spent close to 2k since Jan on it, would love to fit the pipercams and have a remap, just to see what it would get upto but i havent a spare £800 now.
