We have the same issue at work mate. We sell Broadband connections to connect ATM's to our network to be able to send their transactions to the banks for Authorisations. The problem is, the quaility of the BT lines are really shit, and we have people/shops complaining all the time as the ADSL connection is then really flakey. BT are a pain in the arse to deal with, and the Openreach engineers, because they are now sepeate from BT, simply plug their equipment in, that gets sync, and fuck off.
It wouldn't be as bad if it wasn't actually important information, and for some reason sales keep hammering the product. We've got nearly 2000 end points out there on ADSL for ATM's alone, and we also have all the Aldi and Brantano stores on the same set up, with a VPN connection into us. Luckily, most sites have a GRPS connection as a back up connection, but when that doesn't work, they are totally stuck.
