how easy to convert z22se vectra to x20xe or x25xe ?

dont ask why or tell me the z22se is a better engine lol i have my reasons

ive converted plenty of 1.6 cars to xe's and 2.0's to v6's etc so have plenty of mechanical swap experience but im not sure how the z22se is for wiring

i would have a complete donor car ie vectra sri 2.0 or 2.5

Probably staright forward if u have the doner car,just a matter of swapping the complete loom and engine etc.....Not sure on the o/s/f engine mount tho,as the 2.2 nounts in a differnet place and i'm not sure if the chassis has got the other mount location....

mechanically im not worried its things like the accelerator cable and does the z22se have that dual wiring thingymawhatsit like th elater astras lol ??

throttle cable and pedal will just bolt in from the doner car so not an issue....you mean can-bus?.......no it aint got that lol.....u'd need to swap the dash looms also,and prob the clocks etc....

dash looms???? i hate swapping dash looms, are you saying i will need to swap them or i would if a had canbus ??

NOne of the vec b's are can bus,...Only reason u mite have to change the dash loom is as the z22 is fly by wire the wiring for the dash is prob diff..Can rememeber reading jim's write up wen he fitted the z20let in his 2.0 he had to change the dash loom to suit,but on matt bankiers 2.2 he didnt as the z20 let was fly by wire anyhow...so as ure goin the other way i wud imagine u wud have to change it...
