Bloody Windows update! Vista has updated the Drivers for my NVIDIA graphics card yesterday, and ever since, if you do anything intensive for the Graphics card, the fecking thing falls over.

Managed to get a copy of the OE drivers that are shipped with the laptop, and re-installed them :evil:

Everytime i reboot the laptop it has 3 -4 updates to install then it configures them on reboot.

Have they got service pack for vista yet?

Not yet, I think the service pack is still in RC version, the same as SP3 for XP.

I've turned my automatic windows update off, so i can pick and choose what i want to install. it is annoying though as ive had it happen to me before!

Mine hasn't updated in a while, and the Nvidia update was "optional". Since I've rolled the drivers back, I've had no problems at all today.

Matt I did the same as you and my pc is weird now, everything is smaller and some of my screen is missing. What can I do to get it back to normal again.

You can download the original driver from the PC maker, ie I got mine from the HP website. Although, mine didn't have the same issues as yours, it was actually causing the Graphics Card to crash.

I have the update still and after having a mess about with my settings I have the icons the same size they should be again. I think I should be ok now. I had to change my settings to 1152 x 684 pixel now. It won't alow me to make my second monitor the same new size. The problem I still have is my desktop picture is squashed, it won't fill out to fit my monitor
