Checked all the lcd and plasma sub 1k ones out at every retailer around to get as much side by side comparison.Most other similar priced tv's are a lot better and also cheaper. The Panasonic TH42PX70 plasma was 2nd choice, expensive Sony 3000 Series and Samsung LE stood leaps and bounds above the rest and use the same LCD.
In a different league again the over 1k with Pioneer and the better Phillips.

Its your money but i spent ages checking them all out, then set about getting at the right price. Dont buy on the salesmans preference, hes paid to do that and makes more money on that item than another one
