djsri hi got x reg astra2.2 got 77000 onn clock.only had for 3 months and it using loads of oil.put approx ten litres in since nov.no oil leaks and it dont seem to be smoking either.checked the level the other week and nothing on dipstick which was very alarming.where can it be going? oil pressure light not coming on even with low oil in it..any ideas?
vocky burning oil is normally either; blocked engine breather worn valve stems oil scraper rings on the pistons
djsri cheers are they big and expensive jobs? take it try the breather pipes first? just question of taking off and clearing if blocked etc?
