2.4 inlet My Results

My last dyno run before the 2.4 inlet

200cell cat
No precat
Custom backbox
Kn filter

Maximum Power -Engine 152.4 bhp @ 5419rpm
Maximum Torque 157.2 lbf.ft @4287 rpm

As Above with 2.4 Inlet fitted

Maximum Power - Engine 172.4 bhp @ 6565rpm
Maximum Torque- 149.5 lbf.ft @ 5120

So thats a 20hp peak gain from the changing inlet alone :groupjump:, the dyno tech mentioned right away that the car was pulling straight to the limiter and that the fueling was perfect thumbsup The graph also shows nice smooth lines all the way though the rev range 8)

None at all, should probably have it mapped to make the most of the power.

Nice result mate, how come the torque has gone down tho, i would have thought it would rise a little, and Neil, i would have thought cams and live remap would take him further than 13bhp????

Yeah its the same diameter as original pipework 🙂

Jon, how does it drive with the loss of torque? Is it that noticible? Im guessing it would be easier to notice on the astras and vectras compared to the VX due to the extra weight??

If anything the car feels as if it has more low down torque dunno.. , my car had a really bad torque curve before fitting the inlet now its showing a very smooth line 😃

Thanks for that Jon, hmm, maybe its because the torque curve is flatter (with no massive dips at 1800 and 3000rpm) that it feels like it has more torque overall even though max torque is down?! All I need is some bloody time to fit it and her indoors to stop giving me so much grief on doing up the house cryb.. . Rome wasnt built in a day I say but she thinks otherwise. 🙁
