Astra coupe

Hi guys,

I have an astra coupe, the timing chain has snapped. Its a 51 plate 2.2

Came across this site and can't really find much info, how much do you think i would get for the car selling it for spares? Just a rough guide, as i am going to advertise it, but i really do not no what kinda of price to ask for!

hey, thanks for pointing me in the right direction! Not really looking for info on the chain, but how much i would get for the car selling it for spares. Shall i repost in the chain section or will a mod move the post?

Sorry to to hear about your chain troubles, but isn't the coupe worth rescuing with a engine repair, or even a 2nd hand lump ??

Well i'm due to receive a company car very shortly, so i wasn't sure if i was best repairing it or selling it the way it is!

If the engine is beyond repair, perhaps a 2nd hand 2.2 could be the way forward, or you could always put a VXR lump in it 😃
