figo1805 is the timing chain problem the only fault with the z22se ,or is there other thing that go wrong ?,,,,,,,,,
figo1805 engine hope so,bit crap bhp for engine size dont you think,be ok if mods were cheap ,are they running these in usa but has 2.4 s,
JohnnyN The z22se engine has been restricted due to the fact that its in Europe. The european emission regulations are far stronger than in the USA. It doesn't take much to get some good gains in bhp.

figo1805 engine might be a bit think asking this ,mines got plastic inlet manifold fly by wire thottle body ,everybody talking about fitting 2.4 ,,,,,bigger thottle body is this on older engine s or are all fly by wire :roll:
vocky all euro z22se engines are fly by wire the 2.4 inlet manifold is basically a 'performance inlet manifold' compared with the restricted standard z22se item. for the price it has to be the cheapest and best mod for bhp increase showo..

Europa_Blue_SE1 The O/E z22se throttle body will work fine with the 2.4 inlet mate I'm running the 2.4 inlet with the 2.2 t/b do have the 2.4 t/b there just waiting to get it sorted mate hope that helps...
