Hi everybody.

Just purchased an un-molestered Vectra SRI so I've joined this site as it seems to offer good information instead of slagging off the car (which I think is perfect so far...) as many generic vauxhall forums seem too!
Hoping to learn alot about the new motor!

Me again.
Just been browsing. Top notch stuff! Mines a Vectra `01 SRI by the way!
Just wondered if anyones got the same...? And what mileage theres have covered???
Interested to know what these engines will do, as I previously had a dirrty oil burner which ate miles and kept going strong. Gave it to my sister in brilliant condition with 200k on the clock! Said I'd never go back to petrol but couldn't resist 8)

Hi Matt, I notice you're the only fella relatively close to me!
Everyones motors look class! Gonna have to get to work on mine! Think a de-badged grill is my first modification. Tryin to be subtle with this Vectra though. Anyone got any suggestions??

After absorbing some more info I've give this fella called Benny a PM, as of yet not heard back but I understand he's in wolverhampton. 100 miles from me but I'll do it. Has anyone got the name or phone number of his garage? I'll give him a buzz if he doesn't use the site much....
I talked to someone from my local whos a mechanic today about the engine and he said quote "the 2.2 engine is the worst engine Vauxhall ever made" unquote. I reckon hes just a cynical old tw*t though. I hope!!!
The quest for a good nights sleep regarding the bl**dy cam chain continues!!!

hi mate if your lucky and benny gets in touch you may be able to get it in this weekend as he offered it me for the cam chain doing but i cant make it as working
he normally doesnt take long to answer you walkthedog..
