bits for 2.4 manifold?

i was wondering if any of you guys who have fitted the 2.4 manifold already could write a list of the extra bits needed to fit it. ie what sort of surpressor and best place to buy one the size of the air pipe needed for the vaccum hose mod and part number for the one way valve. am i right in saying you only need one take off needed for the astra?and i quess muncher can still do the ecu and dipstick bracket. and anything else you can think of thanks for any info guys

From reading many many threads online, you dont 'need' an alternator supressor... At the fear of it looking a little Pikey im not going to bother... Also it doesnt prevent 'Alternator Whine' in headunits/amplifiers which is a common misconception.

If you do want one, goto halfords to the ICE Interconnects section 🙂

The little FPR hose, i used some clean windscreen washer hose from an old polo :p People recommend ripping some out of a Vectra/Corsa at a scrappy though.

The Servo hose 3-way take-off valve you can get from Vauxhall... The part # is on those threads above (it starts with a #9 iirc!)

Id recomend you fit one, theres more at stake than just a little radio whine. The supressor prevents transient voltage spikes and surges that could interfeer and damage the cars electronics. Its either a couple of quid for a supressor or a couple of hundred for an ecu if your unlucky? is it worth the risk?

just been havein a read through the links so what size of supressor is needed is it 2.2 microfarad or 4.7 microfarad or is it ok to use either?also for my astra is it part number 90373359 for the one way valve with one take off as there were a few listed in the links thanks for the info guys

4.7 will be better, but either will do the job

remember you dont have to do the FPR mod
but the partno is 90373359
