this is my new and improoved steering wheel! it's a momo one i got in the sales,i grafted it onto
the original one.only prob now is my airbag light is on,even though all i did was remove the unit
then replace it notsure.gif

you should have disconnected the battery for 30 minutes before removing the airbag dunno..

yes did that,did it all by the book.obviously something not right though! 🙁 might have to take bulb
out

buy a £30 tech2 reader/reset cd + cable off ebay

then reset the light or find the fault code

Very good Pete, how much work was involved in making the wheel?

was easier than i thought it would be!just hacksawed the spokes off both wheels,leaving enough
metal to bolt them together.Then after a few adjustments,sorted 😃 lucky the spokes were
in the same place on both wheels. The momo wheel is actually 30mm smaller which feels quite
sporty 8)

Good job i like the wheel looks just like a GSI one but not 100% sure on the centre section though.

Would the ring around the griffin not cause issues with the airbag deployment in the event of an accident?

yea i know what you mean about the ring thing!really didnt like it at first but it grows on you
after a while.if i get the airbag working i'll have to take it off cos if i crash i'll have that shape
embedded in my face :shock: :lol:
