EBay issue

I bought an Irmscher grill last night on Ebay for £60, now postage was £10 making this up to £70. The seller lives not too far from me and I had planned to pick it up instead, the seller won't let me come up for the grill and has asked if I want it first class to add another £5.00 :lol: Total postage cost £15:00. I spoke to the seller the other week when this first came onto Ebay, I asked how much for a buy it now and they said £74, I never got back to them, they did say last week in the Email I could collect it so I thought it not to be a problem. I am not willing to pay £70 for this grill when I can buy a brand new one for £79 :roll: . What would you do, am I wrong this time what.. . Cheers

just tell him what you have just said a new one is only £79 so if you cant collect as you agreed my email you dont wont it.

thats what i would do and if he leaves negative feedback do the same for him 😃

Hi, thanks for your purchase.
Unfortunately, I can't arrange for you to collect the item - I was only available last Saturday for collection. I will be posting the item on Saturday (15th April) provided your payment is received in time - if you would rather I posted first class, you are welcome to add £5 to the postage charge.

No, I asked about it when she first listed the grill last week as the bid was started on £45, I then asked how much a buy it now price was and she said £70 odd quid and you can come for it to save you on the postage. I never got back to her as I knew I could buy a new one at that price :roll:

I think she's trying to con you for the postage mate. Thats one of the scams with e-bay. They charge the ass of you for postage.

Thats what I thought mate, £60 is a fair price to come and collect it. It's not that I am not wanting the item now I won it what..

How can she justify £10 - £15 for delivery?? What I bought my grill, it was sent 1st class recorded post, and only cost £5

I sent a bandpass sub box with 2 X 10"s in, and it only cost me £8 with a courier
