Noise on start up?

Hi it doesnt do it all the time but sometimes I start it and get a massive pssst noise like a dump valve noise anyone else had or have this? notsure.gif

That is a strange one notsure.gif , I sometimes get a chain rattle now and again when I start mine up, but it goes away. Not sure what your problem is. Someone else may be able to help you out.

How long the noise for, is it loud or just sound like system pressurising.

Oh, and Mark chain rattle on start up is how it starts, careful now :shock:

It only does it now and again, normally from cold but it's rare, probably maybe only hear it twice in a month. I will get it changed at some point 🙂 . Cheers

i get a noise just before i start i thought it was the fuel pump or something notsure.gif

When you switch ignition on you will hear all sorts, lik fuel presurising in system and starting to circulate, throttle flap will blip to correct position as fly by wire, egr will open etc. sri 150 just sounds like its fuel pressurising and this can sound different sometimes, if car hasnt been started for awhile or cold or hot weather etc.

Yeah I suppose nothing to worry until it does it more often.

I only hear it when it starts!

yeah my 2.2 astra sri does the same thing. Only when it is cold and once in a blue moon. Some time twice in a week. Ppppssshhhtt. Sucks.
