Last year in november i bought myself FSH 2001 ASTRA SRI 70 000 miles on the clock. After doing an oil change i noticed diesel like rattling from cold engine wich would go away after its wormed up. I was lucky enough to do few 80 mile drives to swindon till i came across this website wich was very helpfull 😃 ! After reading so many horror stories i parked up the car till i got it sorted!
I phoned up vauxhall costumer service and of course i was told that my car was not in the effected range! So i decided not to bother taking it to dealer ship just to get the same answer!
I bought a chain kit from autovaux and got it done by an independant mechanic. It was not cheap getting it done just before chrismas, not many places wanted to do it! I told the mechanic to keep all the old parts ( i just wanted to make sure he changes everything). But i just have noticed that he did not put back an old oil jet with the rest of the stuff. The engine runs perfect since than, but i was wondering just in case he did not change the jet, is there any worning sings if its blocked? :?
