4 Airbag ECU - Change to 2 Airbag ECU ????

alright peeps

going down the recaro route so gotta dump my 4 airbag ecu. Ive got a 2 airbag ecu but what i need to know is:>

1, are the looms (especially the plug that plugs in the ecu) the same and
2, is there anything else i need to do???

having done exactly the same...........

make sure you buy the same type 'two airbag ecu' as the 'four airbag ecu', there are a couple of different colour connectors

disconnect the battery for 30 minutes

remove front door panels and disconnect the side airbag sensors, refit door panels

remove the front seats

remove the centre console and swap the ecu's, refit the centre console

add the heated seat switches and wire the recaro electric motor plug to the heated seat plug under the seat or add a seperate 12v supply for the motors

fit the recaro's

reconnect the battery

enjoy the recaro's 8)

cheers mate, the 2 air bag ecu come from ebay so havent got a clue whether or not the plug is the same

not got the vectra recaro's but mark 4 escort RST recaro's (my favorite seats) which are away down the local garage having subframes constructed from a old pair of veccy standard seats, once done will be off to be retrimmed to match the CDX rears and CDX Door trims !!
