New Dials

They look brighter in here because of the long exposure of my camera. The clock ones are actually quite dull??

Does anyone know if there is a filter behind the dials, and also on the Heater controls, as they have gone green??

The MFD and dials look really good. Like you say in your 5th picture the heater ones look very green.

Very nice Mat, was it difficult?, and you really need the milege odemeter as it looks out of place orange.

I put the blue LED in, but I think there is an orange filter over the front, same as there was on the MFD, but I didn't have time to take it all to bits to sort. There is still quite a bit of work needed on them I think to get them how I want them.

Well, there is also a filter behind the milage display, and the heater controls. The only way to get around the yellow filter on the heater controls is to buy a set of controls from a pre-2000 model Astra. I'm going to put it all back to standard on Friday, as the speedo is too dim, and quite difficult to see....Oh Well.

I could, and I will, but I'm in no particular rush, so would rather have dials I can see while doing a lot of driving in the dark during the winter months, and get this all sorted during the summer, when I go to work in daylight and come home in daylight.....if you know what I mean notsure.gif

They are rediculous. Looking on Astra Owners Club, the filters don't affect Red light, so if the bulb kit is Red, you're fine, but it really affects Blue, so it's barely visible. I removed the orange filter from the MFD, and replaced it with a white one, which is why that looks really good.

I had the same problem with my heater dial the filter seems to be in the sticker over swith if that makes sence? I removed and dismantled the switch and couldn't find a filter but when i removed the sticker to fit my white dial's i no longer had the greeny look. Looks good though Matt you.

I'm just going to take my time and source the correct parts, as don't fancy wasting the £22 I paid for the LED's.

Want to do this myself but in red, looks good.

Only problem is I have climate control, anyone changed them before?

RED should be fine, the push and twist direct replacement should be fine, and the Red light isn't affected by the orange filters that are in place.
