Alternator Removal

Hi,

I am trying to change the alternator on a V reg Vectra SRI 150 but come to a stumbling block.

What is the best way to actually remove it as I have got to the point where it is all disconnected and hanging loose but i cannot get it to come out due to 1 of the Air Con pipes restricting access.

What do i need to do or is the a guide to help me as i cannot find anything.

When I did mine it was a matter of wheel off - wheel arch lining off - and a gentle bit of wiggling - out sideways.

I have enough room with what i have already removed to get it out sideways towards the wheel arch but that stupid Air Con pipe is restricting the movement that i require to wiggle it past the engine block/alternator housing.
