dodger Here is another one with the car facing downhill on a downhill slope. I thought you leave it in first gear again. What are your comments on this?
Matt I'd put it in reverse, as it's the opposite direction (relative to the direction of the car) of the incline
TheBoyRoss First Gear = Uphill Reverse = Downhill Is the rule I've always gone by, offers the most resistance in case the worst should happen :-)
l1ghtn1ng Reverse for a slope like that, with the wheels turned into the kerb as I have a vec and the handbrake is pretty crap Uphill I leave it in fifth rather than first
vocky l1ghtn1ng said: Reverse for a slope like that, with the wheels turned into the kerb as I have a vec and the handbrake is pretty crap Uphill I leave it in fifth rather than first yeah that
l1ghtn1ng That was the vec C and from what I've heard its the same system as used on the corsa D as Ive heard a few of them have been rolling away too
joey That problem will not occur if you pull the handbrake on and let it ratchet, at great cost Vxl have made some yellow stickers to put in the new cars to explain to drivers how use the handbrake, takes the piss a bit.
vocky I know exactly what they mean, my vec C you have to pull up the handbrake and then push it back down to make sure the ratchet catches
