Mark_Dj I have a Yamaha amp wired up to my Samsung LE40R87 Lcd tv. When I have the amp on with the tv it sounds like it's ecoing. When I play movies it seems ok. Do I have it wired up ok? I have two large speakers at the side of my tv as shown in the pictures. Any info would be great. Cheers

jayp1983 is there any sound setting on the tv?? as if so it could be that its conflicting with the amp dunno..
JohnnyN Have a look at the sound settings on the amp. You should be able to choose between something like HALL, CONCERT, DOLBY PRO LOGIC, SURROUND, DOLBY DIGITAL, VIRTUAL & CIRCLE. These are all the different choices that I have on my Sherwood amp.
Mark_Dj Yep I have all those settings above. The sound settings I have on my tv are standard and movie, I may have one more also. I tried it through concert, hall, movie and some other setting but the best I got was effects off. I was just wondering if I have the leads in the rear ok? Cheers
JohnnyN The leads look like they are connected fine but the leads themselves are of basically shit quality. You really need to upgrade them to quality oxygen free connections. The normal cables that you get are only provided to get you going. The cables going to your speakers look like bell wire!! Have a look at Richer Sounds website. DBcoup you need to alter the sound delay on your amp, not familiar with that model but if its a proper av amp it should have those settings. lcd, plasme, crt, and projection screens all have different delay settings. Its funny you havent noticed the lip sync is out when listeng through your amp.
Matt is the sound coming out of both tv and amp - if so i would turn on internal mute on and cut the tv out.
Mark_Dj Yes I have sound coming from both the tv and amp (Amp sound is alot better I think). It when you have them both on together it sounds like it's ecoing. I was thinking about just using the phono connection on the rear instead of having it plugged in the tv connection as I am sure when I had my decks wired up to this amp it sounded great on phono. I have not noticed the lip sync being out yet, I will check when I watch tv later today 🙂. I will look into upgrading my speaker wire also. Cheers for the help
