Mark_Dj My windows on my car keep steaming up alot. I have changed the pollen filter, I had a block under the wiper pannel for the drain system, and I think I cleared that up ok as all was fine for a while. Now it's back again. I got into my car the other morning and inside the screen was all steamed up :roll: . Some times when I drive I put the heater on the front screen but then the two rear windows steam up. I have to drop the front two windows to clear the back ones. I have an Astra 5 door Mk4. Cheers for any info 🙂
JohnnyN Sounds like somethings not quite airtight. Leaky back windows? Grommet damaged leaking water from the bulkhead? notsure.gif
Matt My Astra is a pain in the arse for steaming up as well. Swapping the pollen filter made a difference for the windscreen, but thte sides are still as bad, and they are tinted as well, so it's not the glass surface.
adie2_2 is'nt this a build up of moisture in the car....... and I dont mean the type Jamee is thinking of :lol: usually a build up of water with in the car can cause this. a slight leak anywhere is enough for it to happen.I dont mean puddles either just dampness can do it. I dont think Vauxhalls are the best for this.
VXJON You should try a vx220, it takes about 30mins for the useless heater to clear the windscreen 🙁 Its the only car I've ever had that after a cold night you have to clear ice from the inside of the windscreen
Hareng Used to get ice on the inside of one of my ole Sierras, but there again it had heated front screen something you dont get on a Veccy just full of useless junk.
jimmywrc2_2 hello people steam n up ???? i neva get it only if i sit in the car (not run n or any windows open 4 about 15 minz) yeah i know moisture can do it if so inside car!! but just by 1 off none of u hav u got the recirculate button on hav u by any chance?
blackcdx you could have a small leak in the heater matrix have you checked coolant and do you have any odd smells in the car (not personal hygeine) like a musty stale smell
Matt The majority of my problem went away after changing the Pollen Filter, as it was the original one, so 4 year old when I changed it!

Jamee Most vxls are the same, aircon does the front one, but the sides are shite, the coupe is the worst, apart from the vx.

Europa_Blue_SE1 Got to agree with Jamee on this one thought my 3 door was bad and it has tints but the Coupe is a joke as you say Jamee those rears are a fu***r!!!
Matt Mine misted up quite bad this evening....although it's my own fault, as when I put the dash back together yesterday, I forgot to connect the heater controls up 🙁
vocky might just need a long drive to dry out the interior, sometimes they get moisture trapped inside due to rain and wet clothes/shoes etc dunno..
