Yello Were browsing the U.S ecotec forums and came over this: http://www.msdfuelinjection.com/mefi4.html Delphi ECU with complete wiring harnes for Ecotec 2.2, maybe a possible solution for us who arent able to get the car remapped. Yeah I know its expensive
slindborg looks good, although dosent appear to do ETB driving... how much? cant get a price to come up 🙁 either way its WAY better than a ghey remap 😃
slindborg £700, not bad.... most good ecu's in the UK are that much with a made up loom. but then there is driving the sodding TB that becomes an issue.
JohnnyN So would this not help in the quest with the 2.4 T/B on the 2.4 inlet? Does this ultimately replace the existing ECU or does it run as well as the existing one? If it does replce the OE, has it got the capability to run everything on the car as normal like the standard ECU?
slindborg It would totally replace the existing ECU (bar the TB driver as in the US they have cable TB's, execpt for 2007 onwards 2.2/2.4's) you get it setup by a nice fellow who knows howto calibrate ECU's from scratch (or DIY which is far more satisfying)
Yello The fly by wire TB, alarm and Stack RPM is the problems we have to sort out by using this system, maybe its possible to keep the oe ECU to take care of this?? I will send them a mail tomorrow and ask if they can mail me an installation manual for the Ecotec
slindborg the RPM and ALARM shouldnt be a problem.... as most aftermarket ECU's have a 50/50 tacho output that runs rev counters. The alarm is separate to the ECU, its the immobiliser that you actually lose (meh)
Yello What about the fly by wire throttle, is it possible to keep the OE Ecu to handle that?? If it is I`m going for this solution, who needs the immobiliser anyway...
