astra22bertoneauto Remove instrument panel on Vectra Needed to change my instrument panel bulbs as i couldnt see my speedo at night. Pics from my vectra 1997 model. This may also apply to the improved later ones before the facelift Vectra. Here is my how to guide for everyone: - STEP 1: Remove steering column surround. 2 screws holding the top piece to the bottom. Adjust steering wheel as in pics. 3 screws holding the bottom piece. NOTE 1 screw is different! STEP 2: Remove heater vents using flat blade screwdriver. STEP 3: Remove headlight switch box STEP 4: Undo the 4 screws behind the vents and headlight switch. ALSO remove 2 screws hidden behind the indicator/washer stalks STEP 5: Remove dash trim & trim surrounding the intsrument panel inc. rubber bit round steering column STEP 6: Undo the 2 instrument panel screws. STEP 7: Lever the black retaining clip from yellow plug. This is behind the left hand side but be careful, just move left side towards you till you can see behind instrument panel. Main instrument panel connector will automatically disconnect when you move instrument panel. STEP 8: Slide instrument panel to the left and out. Refitting is reverse order of above 2 bulbs required for instrument illumination. HEY PRESTO! ALL DONE! Took me 45 mins start to finish inc. replacing the bulbs. Hope this helps others!
