Opening a zip file, is it safe?

I downloaded a zip file from the internet the other day from Lime Wire, is it safe to open? It's a Dj mixing program and I just wanted to check it out notsure.gif . I scanned it with Norton and it seems ok what..

Yeah it should be safe as long as you have set Norton to scan within zip files you should be fine. Also norton should scan each file as it uncompressing. :wink:

yeah, as already said, as long as you have scanned it with norton, it should be safe. Norton can pick up spyware, viruses etc in the install file if they are there.

Too late, I got some sort of bug 🙁 . The bug kept opening my Lime Wire, I keep closing it down but it pops back up all the time. I had to get rid of it :roll: . I turned my pc off last night then when I turned it on just now I had a exe file trying to do something notsure.gif , my Norton stopped it I think what..
