Bin spending alot of time watching the guilty numbers in the dash (instantaneous fuel consumption)
I got 36 - 37 over xmas when I ran at 50mph all the way to norfolk and back so thats clearly the best. I don't think overall I've got below 29-30. I seem to run 30 -34 mainly depending if the car was used for my 2 miles either way from work seems to kill it.
I have found that good mpg can be achieved and still have fun - if I run from Bicester to Sheringham (150) miles I can boot it off all the lights and roundabouts up to speed BUT then watch the inst. fuel gauge and feather the throttle until the best numbers appear and predominantly you are at the next obstacle anyway. Also keeping the speed sensible on m/way runs helps loads - just under 80 is a lot of difference to 95 in mpg terms!
Gaps.
