New Camera

I got a new camera for Christmas from the wife, and I've been playing about with it for a while now.
It's a Fuji S5700, and here are a few test shots I took this weekend while out walking the dog.

I've bought a couple of filters to use with the camera, which do make a bit of a difference. I can't wait to be able to take some proper interesting pictures with it.

I would love Matt or another friend to do the photos but i think it's quite alot of pressure to put on a mate incase anything goes wrong. Sure Matt would be quite capable of doing them though Neil.

Pics look good matt, I very briefly talked on here about my Wakeboarding antics, and you talking of cameras reminded me of my good mate that love'S his photography. Take a look at some of his pics on his website he has, look under wakeboarding and you will see the top 3 pics are of ME!
It goes to show that investing in a decent camera like you have done matt can make anyone look good , especially me wakeboarding. :lol: :lol: Secondly if you do bring it on RR day and mine goes on after JOHHNYN CAR it might look as good.... but some how I doubt it. :lol: :lol: :lol:

I really wanted an DSLR, but I wanted to get some practice in, so the S5700 is a bridging camera between Compact and SLR. A couple of people at work have SLRs and the quality of the pictures far exceeds anything I could dream of doing with the 5700, due to the sensor size.

May be an idea to add a photo section for people to show off their prize pic`s, some really good pictures have been posted an the forum, and many non car related.

There was the album section of the site, but it lead to a security issue, so I stopped people from being able to upload to it. We could have another sub-forum in the Gallery for Non-Car related pictures?
