Courtenay Rolling Road 1st March 2008

Hi All,

Courtenay have just sent me an e-mail confirming a date for the Rolling Road session:

Courtenay said:
We would like to offer you March 1st (Saturday), which should give you plenty of notice. Its also an early opener for the show season, won't be too warm and won't clash with anything else once it starts to get busy during the year. We will run a minimum of 10 cars, would like to try and have a maximum of 20, with a reserve list/unsures. Power runs will be £30 inc VAT. We would require a £10 deposit from each person (minum 10 people)

One of the offers they have made is for a rolling road day at their building. The event still be starting at 09:00 and finishing at 17:00. You will get 3 runs on the rolling road to get the best result possible.

One other little treat they have offered us on this day, would be offering us Demo rides in their new SuperCharged Astra, to give you all a feel of the sort of power and driveability the conversaion has to offer.

Can you please add your name to the bottom of the list, and please state if you will be going on the Rolling Road, or just want to come down for the day?

I'll need the deposit as soon as possible £10 per car on the rollers, so we can get everything finalised. Please Note, this deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE

well my vx220 won't be going, the kevlar clutch takes 500 - 1000 'around town' miles to bed in and I've only managed 32 :cry:

Come on Vocky get racking them miles up! surley you can rack up 500 miles in this time frame! I have nearly done that today LOL!

I was wandering notsure.gif ...... if people fancied booking a room on the friday night before the rolling road day at courtneys notsure.gif I live approx 1hr from courtneys and for those who may have to travel a fair distance to come along may be interested in booking a room the night before. the accomodation is local to where I live and right on the A11 which if your coming from the south would be the most likly route. if any one wants to look in to this heres a link to the accomodation website. http://www.premierinn.com/pti/hotelInfo ... csell=true If any one does come along on the friday evening then we can meet up in the PUB adjacent to the hotal for a few beers that evening. cheers..

Well there are probably place's to stay even closer to courtneys, dunno.. I have suggested this one as I know its a nice place, good food, its only 6months old so the rooms are hardly used. and most importantly its on route from the south. If any one wants to come down from the north I'm sure we can find some other accomodation. If people are coming over from the west then they would probable go via the A14 which is the major route from the M1 towards the east. I would imagine most people would come from that direction. 😃
