Improving low end torque / power ...... How?

alright peeps,

now ive done the TB enlargement, air box mods, milltek exhaust, sports cat and precat removal i seem to be down on low end power, ok so it flies over 3000 revs but as i am basically a lazy git i cant seem to pull away in second anymore and have to keep the revs up all the time, it really doesnt suit my driving. Ive got some cams and the 2.4 manifold waiting to be fitted but this will probably just make things worse for me !!

do i have to go down the lightened flywheel and balance shaft removal route or is there anything else i can be doing ???

4-2-1 exhaust manifold will restore the low down torque 🙂

Can't say i've noticed a problem with mine. I got CS5 and Milltek cat back with 200 cell cat. I do have the lightened flywheel though. The car picks up nicely from the start. Goes like billio after 3500k!!

i think my clutch maybe on the way out so will deffo be bunging on a lightened flywheel.

with regards to the balance shaft removal ive read all the threads and im still confused - is it best to buy the kit from the states and is it a engine out job on the veccy b - and is it something my local grease monkeys could do ??

Regarding the 4-2-1 exhaust manifold is the £1175 Thorney one the best as the branches are equal?

balancer shafts are best removed with the engine out 🙁

the TMS 4-1 is good for top end power, now costs £995

the 4-2-1 is better for mid range and torque dunno..

Equal length is best yeah, there's alot more to it than that but equal length 4-2-1 is best for every day driving rather than 4-1 which is usually best for flat out driving
