Managed to get the car int o a friends place of work today! Toyota dealership, the aim was to re-gas the air con and carry out an emissions test to confirm for myself that the car was going to pass the forthcoming MOT, info for that on another thread shortly !!!! AS FOR THE AIR CON ....oh my god, nightmare! so after 25mins of drawing out what might have been left in the system (none) we pumped in 900cc of refridgerated gases including dye. now I was half expecting a leak on a pipe somewhere dunno.. no leaks present after a close inspection with a UV lamp, started the car and WOOSH loads of gas pumping in to the the inside of the car :shock: :shock: :shock: , decided to draw out what was put in and only 150cc was exstracted :shock: :shock: so basiclly 750cc leaked in to the car with in 30 seconds or so :cry: this obviously came from behind the dash, had a quick look to see if I could get to any pipes notsure.gif all I found behind the center consol was a large box such as a heater matrix type thing so after a long thread im abviously wanting to know if I have to now remove the complete dash to rectify what I think is a cracked pipe going in to the box under the dash. sorry about the yarn on this but thats how sh1t happened this morning :cry:
