no mate still got the pre cat,the factory fit blew the flexi after i removed the pre cat so i bought a new one from vx,snapped that,then another after removin the pre cat,this one was fun takin back on warranty,managed to blag it as bro inlaw is warranty manager,got a new one,and so on until now i have done 5 pipes all in the exact same place,the top weld joint which has the precat in not the lower one where the pipe reduces,VX deny a batch of dodgy pipes and have had no reports previous to mine.the flexi problem is purely down to heat,as the pre cat is missin the heat is more intense also the airflow is not channelled thru the pre cat so gases tumble bouncin off the inside of the pipe until thru the cat,can also stuff the first lambda due to excess heat.
have you had to change your gearbox mount?is it easy?
i had to change a front mount which was leakin,that was easy.
