deevo2_2sri hi all i have a oil leak from my crank case seal can anyone tell me what effects this will have on my engine will i lose power etc thanks in advance thanks Brian.
JohnnyN You won't suffer any loss in power only oil! If you allow the engine to run low of oil you will end up breaking your bottom end which ultimately will scrap your engine as someone else has just found out in the 'Projects' section under 'engine rebuild'. Have a look at the results, get the seal changed soon. ;-)
adie2_2 Just to add as well, make sure you or who ever looks at the seal, they check the pully itself, where the seal runs around the pully shaft, I had exactly the same fault with mine and the pully shaft had groove in it which caused the seal to leak.
