marcus Hi Guys another stupid question how hard is it taking the old engine out as some people are saying its easy some saying its hard some are saying take it out the top i thought it came out from underneath the car any help welcome as i am starting removing engine this weekend i hope.
vocky you can either drop the engine + box and subframe out the bottom or lift the engine + box out the top

marcus Hi guys got engine out today work pretty quite so decided to keep myself busy took it out the top.Got some pics of more damage to block for you.Big hole in sump'block cracked all over the place and 2 holes the other side of the block pics not good taken with phone camera. marcus Hi guys looking for a bit of help started re-conecting wiring but cant seem to find a plug for the air con pump under the altenater cant remember if i took one off is there a plug for it i cant seen to find one and me eyes are are going googlie with looking for it lol cheers in advance for help.
marcus Hi guys some updated pics for you engine is in and wired up just a couple oh questions for you i have a wire left looks like an earth near throtle body and is there a plug that goes into the sump i finally found the plug for a/c there is also a fast continouse clicking comming from the relay pics have wire and relay. Inside the car on the dash board lights the pic of a pump is flashing and the other light is a car with a spanner in the middle of it any help well appreciated.
jayp1983 3rd pic it looks like the ecu ground wire and secures on the ecu bottom right bolt and the 4th pic it (if i'm right ) the engine control relay and the 1 above is the fuel pump relay
marcus Hi jay we did try attaching to the ecu and the clicking stopped that was when the light with the car with spanner came on but the car did try to fire when we connected the wire to ecu but end up flattening the battery so have put battery back on charge,thanks for the the quick reply and help will try again tommorow with full battery.
vocky that wire is the ecu negative cable, make sure it's a good connection remove the battery terminal to reset the ecu, hopefully the ecu light will then be off when you reconnect the battery after 30 minutes
marcus H vocky got the car running today there was no fault lights left it ticking over for an hour then the pump light came back on and engine started smoking a bit and engine started shaking a bit as well so i switched of engine re-checked all mounts and drive shafts notsure.gif ,then started it up again no smoke but pump light still on and engine still vibrating a bit notsure.gif .any clues to this smoke and vibration will try re-settling again tommorow. marcus 😃 Hi guys very productive day on the car reset engine managment system worked for about an hour then came back on so phoned a tunning place up hear and spoke to the guy who does it and your not going to believe this he told me to drain all the fuel out of the system and replace it with new fuel before i booked him to come out and guess what put new fuel in reset again and ye it worked a treat no managment lights ran it round the block at work a few times and it runs a treat.The new lights arrived today as well so they were put in as well just waiting for the new wheels to arrive now,did try to upload a video of engine running but didn't work so here is some normal pics for you and cheers for all the help.
marcus Hi vocky the guy said with the old fuel lying for so long in the tank it doesn,t fire properlly something like that anyway lol
