as far as i know u should compltely remove the EGR leavin the EGR cheater,coz the 2.4 dont hav the EGR pipe in da front 🙂

i think am right if not sum 1 will put it right 🙂

If you have the EGR cheater you can remove the EGR valve and replace it with a blanking plate available from the main dealer. You can also remove the EGR pipe but you will need to make up a blanking plate for the head and you will also need to blank off the inlet mainfold on the standard inlet. As mentioned, the 2.4 inlet has no EGR take offs.

Daz, what type of intake pipe have you got between your air box and the TB ?

I have the double type on my Vectra which looks quite restrictive 🙁

alreet, picked up the valve above - can someone tell me what is the pipe you cut into to put the valve in and how comes you need 2 run off pipes for the brake servo ??

Astra and Zafira has an electric recirculation valve, the Vectras one is pneumatic via the extra vacuum take off point. The one way valves are in the brake servo hose. HTH.

On the valve u bought one of the small outlets is capped...u need to remove the white cap and tidy the hole...

well had my manifold (and cams, chains and bushes phew) done today, the mechanic forgot about the one way valve that i supplied and bunged one on from a golf - looked pretty much exactly the same as the VX part to my eyes. will get a piccie done tomorrow

Just opened the box today i had delivered last year. :roll:

Two things, will the 2.4 manifold clear the 100 amp alternator when the protrusion is removed?

Secondly in the servo pipe, is the original black plastic bit a valve? I know the two take offs are, might need one or two undecided as yet. If original is a valve might make something up, save me time finding one.

I'd mod the back of the alternator and fit an external suprreosr so u dont have to cut the new manifold.....and yes the black part is a one way valve,i just left that in and used another also

Is there any rating for the supressor/ i may have something suitable saves me shopping.

Think i got a spare one like the one i used if you want it m8ty....will have to check next time i'm down me garage 1st tho...
