Got round to fitting my 2.4 manifold today(mrs was working)....A few pics of the job.....

As is started off....

The strip down.

Gave the mating surface a quick clean up...

Alternator mod and new supressor...

And the 2.4 manifold goin on..

Servo pipe bodge...

All done and dusted..

Great work Daz, is that surpressor the only other mod required? dunno..

Depends wot alternator u have m8...if it the 100 amp like me u just need to remove the back plate from the alt and shorten the bolt slightly,if you have got the 120a the inlet may need modding...

It went really well tbh....started bout 10.45ish,few cups of tea and a few fag breaks....all running by 3.00...so bout 3-4hrs all told....

As for performance,seems a bit slower bottem end,mid range its just revs and wants to get going.....

I'm dying to get the inlet on now so think I'll just get my Dad to help me fit that and leave the T/Body till after the new year...

has your tickover improved now you have cleaned the cylinder head gasket face notsure.gif

On intial start up i had a high tickover and a bad misfire,but it settled down nicely and ticks over spot on atm....only done about 13miles since fitting so i'll keep you informed...

Done another 12 miles in it today,bottem end of the rev range seems to be getting stronger(maybe just me).
After hitting about 2.5 k(which seems to get there alot quicker)it just keeps on goin till the redline.....
