ford focus passenger door dont want 2 lock ? W plate

hello just a ? My dads got a focus, wen u lock it sum tmes the passenger door dose not lock? so wen it does this it dont lock any of the othere doors! but if u lock the passenger door first all the othere doors lock! so anyway i think it cud be the regulater, which sum times dont want 2 work like seezed up so it not lock, like locking the driver door then u shut it and it opens so u dont lock ur keys in yeah ? is it like the mgz ? as anyone came across this prob on a focus ? notsure.gif

My focus was doing the same thing, the central locking just wouldnt work on the pax door :? I think it was sorted after opening/locking the door from inside and covering the lock catch in WD40

( fcuk knows why this worked but its done the trick for now )

maybe be it just sticking, can u hear it trying to lock?

to tell u truth i hav not had a look at it yet :roll: but i will do i think it should b sum thing like that sticking i think it trys 2 lock but it opens again?

done that 2day might need time 2 get round everything? do u know if they r a sealed unit?

passenger door still does not lock wen locked from drivers door or key fob! u got 2 lock passenger door 1st so it looks all the rest shrug..

Think n may b that but dont wanna spend me dads cash n not b it lol. i know they hav lot of probs we lock n doors on fords lol,its ok wen in summer just in winter COLD dunno..

Had a focus in the other week,same fault as you describe...1 x new central locking/door lock/catch thingy...and fault sorted...
