Steering wheel removal ???????????

alright peeps,

got a GSI wheel on the way and just want all the tools ready for the job once it arrived

i know how to get the air bag off (done before)

ive looked in the haynes and it says you need this 3 pronged removal tool thingy - can it be done without one or do i need to buy one and if so where would i get one from ?

any tips would be appreciated

You can do it without m8....slacken nut/bolt and leave in a few threads.....position self comfortably....and pull and wiggle like ure pulling a ******man of ure granny.....dont remove the bolt completly until the wheel is loose......or u'll be taking atrip to casualty with a broken nose....

all done, thanks, didnt actually injure myself which is a real rarity for me !!

yanked and yanked and couldnt get the poxy thing off, got out the car for a breather, slammed the door and the wheel fell off !!!
