Hi Alan, if oil of sorts is leaking from the right hand side, (as you look at the engine from the front) it may well be your power steering pump leaking? they tend to leak from that area, I have just re-sealed mine for that reason, as for your water temp switch, that may be gone, I personally can not recall seeing mine on my car,i'm sure vocky would be able to add a comment about that, as with any one else in the know for that fact.
