rushy Low coolant picture came up on my dash this morning so had a little look under the bonnet to find its only bellow the cold line by about 10mm. So after reading this thread https://z22se.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php? ... antifreeze could you recommend a good pre mixed antifreeze for my vec. The stuff in at the moment is the VX yellow stuff. This is only a top up so i'm going to mix it with the stuff already in there.
adie2_2 Simply top up with water/regular antifreeze 60% water ,40% antifreeze. your not talking about much really so even that ratio should be fine. However if you want a exact amount then you can have your coolant tested at any garage its not very dear. 8)
rushy Ended up getting the VX stuff. As the lump is only 10k old its got vx stuff in it already so not mixing. It only cost £2.49 for a ltr so it wont break the bank.
Skinner Don't mix anti-freezes it is suppossed to be bad for your car as they react thats why you are better to drain the whole lot out and re fill with new stuff
l1ghtn1ng How easy is it to empty/refill a vec B with antifreeze? I feel mine needs changing as it hasnt been done for about 18 months. Also which antifreeze is best? Should i just get some from VX?
l1ghtn1ng thought mine was blue but cant say for sure. Is it deffo the red stuff i need then? Also whats involved in changing it? Is it worth me trying it or should i take it down the garage?
