Fuel problem

I have a 2001 y plate vectra sri 150 only owned it for a few weeks and only had one problem so far,when the tank goes below half way on acceleration and cornering i get a delay in power as if someone is turning the fuel off dunno..

The car doesnt cut out though it still runs just i get a loss of power for upto 5 seconds at first it didnt bother me that much but now its starting to do my head in lol

I've mentioned it to a few garages and even vauxhall but they said they have never heard of the problem before :? i think it maybe the swirl pot or tank problems as its ok aslong as you stay above half a tank,but as you go down the tank the worse it gets :cry:

anyone else had simular problems ?

the fuel pump pick up pipe has fallen off :roll:

under the rear seat is the access panel, underneath is the fuel tank access, the fuel pump is inside, you need to remove the pump and reattach the pipe.

keep the car doors open and remember 'fuel vapour can ignite' :roll:

no pipes off anywhere everything seems ok in the tank
