so i was bored again and thought i would do something my pc
LAPPING fun of the so much lol
this is a how to guide also
stuff required
a flat hard surface (like glass 5"x 5") i used a bit of mdf
wet n dry grits of 400-600-800-1000-1200-1500-2000-2500
and ether braso or meg's all metal polysh
water and soap in a spray bottle
masking tape
about one hour and 2 or 3 cups of tea
so first off i did 400 grit as the water block was nicely machined to start with
then 600 grit and 800 grit
then 1000 grit
as you can see the surface is getting shinny
and 1200 grit
more mirror like
i did 1500 grit and 2000 grit but no pic
here is 2500 grit as you can see the reflection is getting better
i then went over it with meg's metal polysh on the end of my finger till the block was nice and shiny
then i use the same process on the cpu

then meg's again
the two items together cpu and water block nice and clean and shiny
the to faces were that flat i was able to pick the cpu up with the water block nice
i love boredom it compels me to do mad stuff to my pc
