more annoying than that, for my 52 plate diesel Combo Van i pay £185 just because its a van, whilst the same engine in a Corsa (which is pretty much the same vehicle) the tax is £80 !!!
mustnt grumble though as the tax on my other 2 vans is also £185 both 3 1/2 tonne lutons that average about 10 MPG !!!!
I also have the X plate veccy that pays the slightly cheaper tax whilst the missus pays £205 for her smaller engined Zafira
also i remember at the time when the Y reg was coming out the missus was going to buy a brand new polo diesel on a X plate and the dealer said it would be better us waiting a couple of weeks and registering on a Y plate as the tax was half the price - i forget how much it was but it saved us about £100 a year for 4 years !!
