can anybody tell me what constitutes excessive oil consumption for one of these engines.
is there anything that vx 'quote' for these as a normal usage rate per mile, etc, etc
only asking as the amount that people seem to be putting in varies massively. the catalyst seems to be either when there has been any engine work following failure of the usual 'crap design items', as per vx usual standard and others just seem to love the stuff.
obviously as it goes through the engine it will be coating the valves and other components which will eventually get baked on.
are there any pics of valves in pristeen condition and then when an engine has been stripped.
only asking as i am at a turning point as to what to do with my car.
whichever way i go it will be costing lots of pounds so any addvice is well recommended,
