Model terms . Please help!

Hello, can some one please explain MK1 , MK2 , Pre-face lift, face lift ?

Also, I drive X reg, 2000 vectra hatch back. Will a GSi bumper from a 51 reg vectra or a S reg vectra fit my car?

I think the bumpers will fit 😃 , but i'm not sure myself about face lift/ pre-face lift models notsure.gif .veccy A, then veccy B, and todays model vectra C. pre-face lift.... might mean the shape before the latest model vectra C, ie the one with the square type headlights, and the face lift meaning todays new vectra. and of couse some one may pop up with cardnal knowledge of this and put me right dunno.. hope this helps though.

I would say that the Mk1 Vectra ran from 1995 to 2002 and is referred to as the Vectra B. This came in pre-facelift from 1995 to 1999. The model was facelifted in 1999 and ran to 2002. The change over came in 2002 with the launch of the Mk2 being the Vectra C. This has also be facelifted now.

The facelifted Vectra B had different headlights, rear lights, front and rear bumbers, dash detail, seats, new range of engines.

The bumpers are interchangeable between facelift and pre-facelift.

And just to confuse matters more, the 'official' Mk1 Vectra was the Cavalier, being known as the Vectra A in Europe.

Same as the Corsa A, that was what we call the Nova, but in Europe it was the Corsa

Vectra a = cavalier 89-95 ish
Vectra B preface lift 96-99......black trim on top of bumpers seprate headlights,,indicators...No plate lamp in bumper.. etc.
Vectra B facelift 99-02....all in one headlamps/indicators, no plate lamp in trim by handle...
Vectra C preface 02-05 ??
Vectra C facelift 05-
