Re Map / Superchip

These are both the same sort of thing. They both get programmed through a computer to the cars Ecu editing the cars original map. Just thought I would let you lot know as I did not know this at first, seeing I had a superchip fitted to my car and on the recipt it said I had a re map.

In the old days they used to put a chip in your ecu (actually solder it in) so thats where the name came from , now all they do is reprogramme the ecu defaults. there are two types a generic and a custom, generics are set at a standard for that type of car, custom is set up on a rollin road whic is much better when lots of mods done.
