jimmywrc2_2 AA brought a car in 2day corsa 16v 1.2 no power dont start notsure.gif ! put it in gear taken oil cap off moved car no move ment with cam very nice ! chain snapped start taken n apart b4 home time got cams out f*ck them up big time !! looks like they was know oil at top end course n the chain 2 snap dunno.. c wot 2moz brings ?? as any 1 else had head off 1 of these?
Daz We,ve had a 1.0 12v in at work with a rattling chain,the top guide had broken up and i think it wasnt far off snapping....

l1ghtn1ng My G/F has a 1.0 12v corsa. Are they prone to snapping or is it just a case of look after them well and they'll run fine? Her's has only done 17k miles (on a 54plate!) so im not too worried but will keep an ear out for a rattle

rushy 2.0 t in the vec is, but I think both the 2.0 and 2.2 dti's are as well. Aren't all Ecotec Family II engine's chain driven?
Daz 2.0 t in the vec is the saab lump...same engine ,differnt head etc tho... The l8r 1.4',1.6's and 1.8's are all still belt driven...
jimmywrc2_2 got head off 2day! guide wont gave way b looks of it ? the othe side guide had a little insert at the bottem ??? dont know y?had sum pic of head but bit sh1t phone picz 4 u lol got a new pic of the bent valves 😃
jimmywrc2_2 hellothis corsa 1.2 16v shed has been start n 2 do my head in, new head on chain everything u can think off ! will it start NO turn over like there is no chain on it.When we toe it in gear it will start and run and sound ok till it get too 1000 rev anything below that and it stops and will not stat again? please can any 1 help :evil:
Daz Had this with a mondeo that done a belt.....(hope i dont get banned for mentioning a ford lol).............Drove us nuts for days.....wouldnt start on the key,a quick tow and it was away.......done a bottem end strip down and the pistons had cracked thru the rings.....Hence not enuff compression to start on the key....fine with a tow tho...

Y does all the Sh1t work cum n just b4 xmaz lol
jimmywrc2_2 the new head is bk off 2day sump off pistons 1 is out other left oil in over nite c wot happens in morning,turned head upside down n put oil where vavles are i know u should use diesel or sumthing thin but if that leaks through with that we have a prob ! and 2 tell u truth it looks like the NEW head is a duff 1 :shock: with very very slighty bent vavles! which all of them are ! so thats would probley explane dont start from the key ? :?
