Problems with backup exec 11D

I am installing backup exec on a server and keep getting the following error

V-225-235: MSXML 4.0 failed to install

Well i ahve tried all sorts and the three main solutions that symantec have provided also

It's a 2000 box and is fully updated and has only one instance of msxml in the add remove programs.

I have also tried a repair install on it but this fails.

I had the idea of removing MSXML it but am very concerned if i remove it i will not be able to get it to re-install?

I am also not 100% sure what programs on the server are reliant on using MSXML.

Any ideas anyone? dunno.. notsure.gif notsure.gif

Well it's all fixed, 11d wanted to install msxml but due to the server having it installed then it would not go any further, after a removal the install went on fine.

Fany a install not skipping that one section if already installed on the box notsure.gif thats symantec for you.

I hate norton, Veritas Used to be ace, these new versions just seem to have that norton feel to the installs "a pain".

The actual program is still fantastic, well i think so.
