ecky1972 hi just a quick hello im new to the z22se just got myself a vecky estate sri 150 i didnt know about the issue with the chain but the car has 117000 miles on it i got it salvage so dont have history i did manage to get the first 3 years history from the lease company it used to belong to but after 2003 and 76000 miles i dont have anything the car needs a vic check so dont know who the last owner was till it has check done and get the log book so am hoping if im lucky the last owner will still have some paperwork i could have i havnt seen any mention of work done to the chain in the info i have the reg is X477 LDH if anybody has any way of getting info i would be glad of the help ecky notsure.gif
baldie87 if your on 117,000 and have no knowledge of the chain being done then i would recommend it being done for pieace of mind as they are only ment to last 100,000 miles

How much damage did it have? hi sorry i didnt respond earlier but only just noticed i have people responding as didnt have any messages showing on home page i have replaced the fuel tank and centre section of the exhaust with a remos race tube and there were little bits under the car that needed atention also could do with a new back bumper although the one on it could be repaired went through the MOT no problem

adie2_2 Hello mate, there is a balance shaft chain that runs inside the chain cover too.Have a look at some of the threads relating to cam chain issues, there is some photies somewhere that will show you. cheers..
