Labour Time Request Please

Hi Guys, this request goes out to you DIY'ers and those with Autodata or similar showo..

Could you please give me a labour estimate for the following on a VX220, for a qualified experienced technician, but not on type:

Cam Chain change with all appropriate gaskets and new oil feed.
Cylinder head change (new head is complete assembled w/o cams) with gaskets etc.
Cam change over from old to new head.
Exhaust DP removal and refit (ill be removing the pre-cat while its off).

I saw on the field remedy thread that for the cam chain it would take 4.2 hours... Please could you tell me if this is realistic and if so, what the others changed would add on top, if done at the same time.

I would agree with the 4.2 hours for the cam chain. Its removing all the bits and pieces around the engine first before you can get to the cam chain and replacing them all that seems to take so long.

cam chain and head swap would take me about eight hours dunno..

Ahh cool thanks very much guys, kinda confirmed what i thought (abour 3hrs over the chain time, as the chain comes off anyway)... Im just covering my wallet :roll: 😃

Im assuming that with a two-poster they should be under the 8-hrs then as access would be far easier...
