traction control on bertone 2.2

hello fellow vauxhall drivers.. i have a question for you!!! i have bought a 51plate astra bertone 2.2 and its quiet a sweeet car apart from there is no switch to turn traction control off. does anyone know of a way to either turn it off!!! or can there be a switch instaled??? thanks guys

You should be able to fit a TC switch, i have not done it myself but have a look at carls thread.

Was going to do this at the weekend. As a totally numpty with cars, could I majorly bugger something up?

not really begbie only a few wires. some times the wiring loom is already there and all u need it the button thats all i had to do on mine.
have a look under the little pannel below the ashtry should be a plug there is the wiring loom is already there

not all coupes have the loom already fitted (how stupid is that)

Good news = Loom is already there
Bad news = Broke the ashtray getting it out (was dark) 🙁

them ashtrays can be dam annoying to come out at least the loom was already there just go to vx now and but the switch and the pannel it sits in which is the little one below the ashtray

is it just the coupes that may have the plug already or is that the same for the astra hatchback dunno..

the astra hatch can alos have them just have a look.

mine didnt have the plug already, had to run the wire back to fuse box in the engine.

had a look today to see if plug for tc was there i found a blue plug with 2xgreen wires 1xwhite 1xgrey/yellow 1xbrown i take it thats the plug i need dunno.. if so does that mean i just need the panal and switch anybody know what the part number is (astra hatch)please and how much they should cost cheers..

Bad News X2, turns out the big blue square plug wasn't the right one!
I mean how many un-used big blue plugs can there be? dunno.. (obviously more than one)
Anyway, had to end up ordering the loom again seperately.
Once I got that it was ok. One wire to earth, one spliced to the cig lighter light and the other spliced to the ABS loom. (There was already a wire in that spot)
